Punj Lloyd is renowned for the construction of large scale tankage and terminals, ranging from cryogenic double walled full containment tanks to atmospheric floating and fixed roof storage tanks/terminals. The Group has constructed three LNG and LPG Tank farms in India and over 300 tanks globally.
We are virtually the only EPC company in the world with in-house expertise in engineering, procurement, construction, civil, instrumentation and commissioning of LPG and LNG tanks on a turnkey basis. We have built over 8 million m3 of storage capacity. Punj Lloyd provides complete solutions including basic and detailed engineering, for complete delivery of complex cryogenic, high pressure LNG, LPG, ethylene, ammonia and other storage tanks for the oil & gas sector.
From airlifting of LNG tank roofs and hydro-pneumatic tests of large diameter tanks, to equipment erection, piping and structural work, everything is executed to the highest safety standards.
As the only company involved in all three LNG storage terminals in India, we successfully executed the re-gasification terminal at Dabhol, the LNG storage tanks for Shell at Hazira and the Petronet LNG Terminal in Dahej.
Another tankage milestone was the Helios Terminal in Singapore. Construction of storage facilities for 448,000 m3 of fuel oil, involved four tank farms with Aluminum Geodesic Dome Roofs and Carbon Steel Dome Roofs. We achieved a first in Singapore by creating a Punj Lloyd fabrication facility in the laydown area near the construction site, which enabled fabrication of structural components for tanks. The Helios Terminal was marked by rapid progress due to extensive planning and synchronized teamwork for the design, engineering, procurement, supply, fabrication, erection, testing and painting of 21 storage tanks.
Singapore was also the site for yet another first by Punj Lloyd, this time for the Bulk Liquid Products Terminal. For this project of 59 tanks with a gross capacity of over 120,000 m3, half the tanks were erected by the conventional method and the other half by the jacking method, making Punj Lloyd the first contractor to erect tanks by this method in Singapore.
The Naphtha Cracker unit in Panipat, a greenfield project of IOC, is an ideal representation of our expertise and capabilities in providing turnkey EPCC services in tanks. A complex process facility, our diversity in design and construction of tanks was evident in the gamut of storage facilities - four cryogenic tanks with complete cryogenic package, two high pressure dome roof tanks, six internal and external floating roof atmospheric tanks, six mounded bullets, and seven Horton spheres.
These projects are reflective of our expertise at executing jobs of great magnitude that require methodical planning and in-depth domain knowledge.
We are proud to showcase here some of the landmark projects that we have undertaken.
