As the world’s All Terrain Specialists, our frontier extends to the sea and we continue to conquer the challenging environment and successfully deliver complex offshore pipelines and platforms. We provide engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation of offshore wellhead and process platforms, including topsides and jackets, risers, submarine pipelines, underwater cables and single buoy mooring systems.

Punj Lloyd has an unrivalled and most sophisticated flotilla of barges needed for offshore business which includes four work barges – Mahesh 1, Ganpati, Madhwa and Kuber. Kuber the latest addition, a non self-propelled S-type barge, can lay 4” to 60” dia pipes in sea, besides maintaining and repairing existing pipelines. Augmenting this equipment fleet is our 45,000 m² fabrication and maintenance facility at Sungaipurun, Indonesia.  This yard stores important spares and handles heavy swamp and construction equipment overhauling, ensuring minimum downtime of equipment and swift mobilisation. 

Punj Lloyd catapulted into the league of international offshore contractors with the Hopping Island project, connecting the Indonesian islands of Panaran and Pulau Pemping by a 31 km 28” dia gas pipeline. This challenging project entailed working in the busiest shipping route connecting Singapore and Indonesia, and crossing a river through difficult terrain by horizontal directional drilling, as well as a rocky seabed with live coral reefs and granite rock. Since then we haven’t looked back. Through our combination of experienced manpower, expertise of working in shallow and offshore waters, large specialised amphibian equipment base and meticulous planning at every stage, we have successfully completed several prestigious offshore pipelines.

We have executed complex Offshore platform with the precision and perfection of industry leaders.  The Betara Complex Development in Indonesia was our first offshore process platform which comprised laying of subsea pipelines and a Fixed Process Unit. We achieved a technological marvel with the complex Heera Redevelopment Project, comprising a gamut of offshore facilities including engineering, fabrication, transportation, installation and commissioning of four well head platforms, 50 km of rigid submarine pipeline, 10 km of flexible pipeline, 20 km of composite cables and replacement of a 30 year old single buoy mooring system.  In an another landmark project, the 1,000 T South Utility Platform of the Tunu 11 project in Indonesia, we combined the epic proportions of a gigantic platform, with the fragility of a critical operation.
